She was never ready for tomorrow
If up to her, night would only exist
Only at night does she have a chance at surviving
Only in the pitch black and somber sounding night
can she understand her thoughts
because nothing has to make sense
She was never ready for the sun to crash though her eyelids
and fuck up the peace she made the night before
but it always does
every night she painted a portrait
and every morning the canvas was blank
it was something she'd never get used to
She's a dreamer
who can only find her way by moonlight
and her punishment is she sees the dawn
before the rest of the world
She would resent the time the morning came
if not for him
he was the eclipse that blocked out the sun
the black blanket that made it impossible to see her fingers in front of her
"tomorrow never has to come, if we stay here forever" he would whisper
"will you stay forever?" she would mumble
only to be confirmed with a kiss
that would never be as special in the daylight
and it was enough to make her never want another tomorrow
